Chennai, Aug 6 (NationPress) Producer T G Vishwa Prasad, whose company is behind director Maruthi's much-anticipated horror thriller 'The Raja Saab', starring Prabhas in the leading role, has confirmed plans for a sequel titled 'The Raja Saab - Part 2'. However, he clarified that this installment will feature an entirely different narrative.
In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, Producer Vishwa Prasad stated, "Yes, Raja Saab 2 is on the way. But let me clarify, this narrative will not be a continuation. The sequel will explore a multiverse concept, remaining part of this franchise while bringing its own uniqueness and scale."
For those who may not know, 'The Raja Saab' is set to premiere globally on December 5, this year.
Prabhas is set to venture into new territory with this film as it marks his first full-length horror feature.
The initial motion poster, released earlier, teased a captivating fusion of supernatural elements and classic charm, instantly captivating audiences.
Directed by Maruthi, recognized for his distinctive mix of humor and emotion, The Raja Saab promises to deliver a horror film infused with unexpected entertainment.
Produced by People Media Factory, the movie is anticipated to be a visual extravaganza. Sources indicate that it has been crafted on a grand scale with top-notch production values.
Cinematography is handled by Karthik Palani, and the musical score is composed by Thaman S.
In a departure from traditional filmmaking, where songs are typically finalized before production, the team behind 'The Raja Saab' has granted Thaman the liberty to revisit his compositions.
When discussing his preference for this innovative approach, Thaman remarked in a March interview, "This methodology is ideal as Prabhas sir is making a return to commercial songs after a significant hiatus. He has an intro song, a melody, a high-energy dance track, and a love song that encapsulates the film's essence."
With high expectations surrounding the film's soundtrack, Thaman is committed to achieving nothing less than excellence.
He emphasized, "The audio company has invested significantly, around ₹30-40 crore. Thus, the songs must resonate with audiences throughout India, including Hindi-speaking regions. As Prabhas makes his return to the commercial genre, I am fully dedicated to this project. There is no room for mediocrity."
The ensemble cast of 'The Raja Saab' features the enchanting trio of Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar, who are anticipated to bring elegance and vibrancy to the film's eerie yet colorful narrative.
