Shantanu Maheshwari: My Dream of Acting in a Bengali Film Comes True

Mumbai, Dec 14 (NationPress) Actor Shantanu Maheshwari is thrilled to make his debut in Bengali cinema with 'Chaalchitro'. He revealed that working in this language has always been a dream of his.
Shantanu expressed: "I am incredibly excited about my Bengali film debut. This has been a long-time aspiration of mine, and I finally received a fantastic opportunity, all thanks to Pratim Dasgupta."
"My desire to do a Bengali film stems from my wish to contribute to my roots," he noted.
"Chaalchitro" features a universe filled with cops, packed with action, thrill, and mystery. Shantanu mentioned that the film's narrative is quite compelling, and he portrays a police officer.
"This is something I have never attempted before. I had the chance to perform various action sequences for this character and also learned the technical aspects needed to shoot an action scene."
"At first, mastering Bengali fluently posed a challenge, but thanks to our supportive team, it became manageable. Overall, shooting for the film was a delightful experience, and I'm eager to see how the audience reacts," he added.
Shantanu's most recent appearance was in ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’, featuring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Jimmy Sheirgill, and Saiee Manjrekar.
He gained popularity for his debut role as Swayam Shekhawat in the acclaimed youth television show Dil Dosti Dance, which was the first dance-centric fiction program on Indian television. The show highlighted the themes of friendship, love, and dance among students at St. Louis College, featuring stars like Kunwar Amar, Sneha Kapoor, Shakti Mohan, Vrushika Mehta, and Vrinda Dawda.
He also clinched the winner's title in “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8”.
Furthermore, he represented India on an international stage as part of the Desi Hoppers dance crew, winning the World of Dance Championship in Los Angeles. He made his Bollywood entry in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi alongside Alia Bhatt in 2022.
