Mumbai, Sep 2 (NationPress) Shantanu Maheshwari has captivated audiences with his remarkable chemistry alongside Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Gangubai Kathiawadi", and now he is receiving accolades for his dynamic pairing with Avneet Kaur in "Love in Vietnam".
In a recent exclusive interview with IANS, Shantanu was asked, "Shantanu, your chemistry with every co-star, from Alia Bhatt to Avneet, appears seamless. What’s your secret?"
With a chuckle, Shantanu confessed that he isn't entirely sure. "Perhaps it’s because I create a comfortable environment for others. Ultimately, I believe it’s the narratives that enhance the chemistry. When the script is robust, and both actors are truthful and receptive, it becomes evident," he elaborated.
Discussing his upcoming project, "Love in Vietnam", Shantanu expressed his delight at the audience's recognition of the chemistry with Avneet.
"I think it stemmed from a foundation of comfort and trust. We both have a dance background, which established a natural synergy. Having collaborated before also contributed to our familiarity. Moreover, the script required a specific emotional depth, and I believe that is what animated the chemistry. There was room for improvisation, openness, and mutual support throughout the journey," he explained.
The lead actors of "Love in Vietnam" were also questioned, "Shantanu and Avneet, your silent interactions and emotional portrayals are striking on screen. Were those inspired by personal experiences, or purely performance-based?"
Shantanu responded, "It’s invariably a combination of both. You inevitably infuse personal experiences into your portrayal. The script provides the framework, but to genuinely embody a character, you must integrate some of yourself into it. That’s what lends authenticity to the performance."
Produced by Blue Lotus Pictures in collaboration with Innovations India, Rahat Kazmi film studios, And Productions, Zebaish Entertainment, Tariq Khan productions, Mango Tree Entertainment, and Samten Hills, "Love in Vietnam" is set to hit theaters on September 12.
