What Spooky Inspiration Drives Sharon Stone's Art?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, Jan 29 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Sharon Stone has a unique and eerie perspective on her artistic endeavors. She openly communicates with spirits and taps into universal consciousness to fuel her creative expression.
The 67-year-old star has embarked on an artistic journey that blends her acting career with painting. In her painting practice, she engages with the unknown to guide her creations, as reported by Female First UK.
In an interview with Extra, she revealed, “I think this channel really opened because so many of my family members died rapidly over the past three and a half years. I genuinely hear this higher consciousness communicate with me. When these portraits began to emerge, they truly spoke to me.”
The Basic Instinct actress became emotional while discussing her gratitude towards the spirits after completing her artwork. She expressed, “I find it incredibly special when people allow me a glimpse into their soul because I firmly believe in universal consciousness. I feel blessed to have been permitted into their awareness to create this portrait of someone I do not know.”
According to Female First UK, one particularly profound piece titled Him was inspired by a spirit who took time to reveal his story.
She shared, “Eventually, when he began to communicate with me, it was traumatic; he conveyed that he drowned on a ship where he was chained in the hull. Painting him and experiencing his trauma of being chained and drowning was deeply upsetting.”
This piece is among several showcased in her Rogues Gallery series. A statement regarding the project last month hinted, “These previously unseen works by Stone are powerful, haunting portraits of spirits from various eras that she has recently started to channel while painting.”
For Him, Sharon acknowledged that the ghost had a “very difficult time” opening up. She added, “He was an enslaved person who drowned in the East China Sea aboard a slave ship. His struggle to communicate with me was challenging because, as an enslaved individual, he could not speak freely. I had to endure the experience of his drowning alongside him.”
