Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha has shared warm memories of working alongside the late Shashi Kapoor in the 1973 film 'Aa Gale Lag Jaa', calling him the most cheerful and warm-hearted co-star he ever encountered. Sinha made the remarks during a recent appearance on the singing reality show Indian Idol, where host Aditya Narayan prompted him to reflect on the classic film.

Sinha's Tribute to Shashi Kapoor

When asked about his experience working with Shashi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore, Sinha was effusive in his admiration. He said in Hindi: 'Pura Kapoor parivar ka toh main shuru se hi deewana raha hu, aaj bhi hu aur kal bhi rahunga.' Translating his own sentiment, he expressed that he has been, and always will be, a devoted admirer of the entire Kapoor family.

Sinha specifically praised Shashi Kapoor — the youngest brother of Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor, and son of the legendary Prithviraj Kapoor — as a performer of rare warmth. 'To this day, I have not seen an actor as cheerful and warm-hearted as him,' Sinha said, describing Kapoor as the pride and glory of the Kapoor dynasty.
