Mumbai, Sep 5 (NationPress) Actress Shilpa Shetty recently shared her thoughts on Shah Rukh Khan, highlighting that the most admirable quality of the Bollywood icon is that long before the world dubbed him King Khan, he had the unwavering belief that he was a “king.”
Shilpa, who serves as a judge on the dance reality show “Super Dancer Chapter 5,” was particularly impressed by a contestant named Sukriti, who captivated the audience with her stunning performance of Shah Rukh Khan’s popular track “Sachi Yeh Kahani Hai” from the film “Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.”
In her comparison, Shilpa remarked that Sukriti’s confidence mirrors that of Shah Rukh Khan, stating: “The best thing about Shah Rukh Khan is that long before the world called him King Khan, he believed he was a king.”
She elaborated, saying, “That unshakable confidence in himself made others believe it too. And that’s the power of self-belief: it makes the world see you the way you see yourself.”
Shilpa noted that she perceives the same fiery determination in Sukriti, adding, “She believes she’s a queen, and just like one, she rules the stage the moment she steps on. She owns the stage.”
Regarding “Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa,” the 1993 coming-of-age comedy-drama directed by Kundan Shah features Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepak Tijori, Suchitra Krishnamurthy, and Naseeruddin Shah. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan acquired the film's rights under his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. The film was also remade in Telugu as Swapnalokam, featuring Jagapathi Babu and Raasi.
“Super Dancer Chapter 5” airs on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV.
On the film front, Shilpa was last seen in “Sukhee,” a humorous slice-of-life story about a woman re-experiencing her teenage years and undergoing a significant personal transformation over just seven days.
She is set to appear next in KD: The Devil, a Kannada action-drama directed by Prem, which stars Dhruva Sarja in the lead role alongside Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, and Nora Fatehi.
