Mumbai, Jan 24 (NationPress) On the momentous occasion of filmmaker Subhash Ghai's 80th birthday, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for transferring the title “Deva”, a title that has been in Ghai's cinematic possession since 1987 and was initially intended for a film featuring megastar Amitabh Bachchan.
After a single phone conversation with Siddharth, the esteemed filmmaker agreed to relinquish the title under the sole condition that the cinematic legend Big B also approves. Subsequently, Amitabh gave his consent.
Gratefully, Siddharth stated, "All of us at Roy Kapur Films and the film's team feel truly honored and thankful to Subhashji for placing the iconic title Deva in our hands. With just one call, he instantly agreed to pass on the title with the blessings of Mr. Bachchan, who was gracious enough to endorse our project.”
The producer remarked that “Deva” holds significant legacy and significance, having been conceived by Subhashji for a grand project alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the late 1980s.
