Mumbai, Jan 21 (NationPress) Pavail Gulatie is set to appear alongside Shahid Kapoor in the action thriller "Deva", directed by Rosshan Andrrews. At the trailer launch, Pavail shared insights about his relationship with his co-star Shahid Kapoor.
He mentioned, "On the sets, Shahid Kapoor generously sponsored my meals. For about 10-15 days, he provided me with tiffins and buffets, which was incredibly thoughtful of him."
Pavail continued, "Our on-screen bromance was fantastic due to our strong off-screen bond. I met Shahid ten days before Diwali and told him how I grew up mimicking his dance moves. I joined Shiamak because of him. I've always admired both him and Rosshan sir. Siddharth (Roy Kapur) was the first to reach out to me after the success of 'Thappad', which was monumental for me. Working with such an amazing crew, Shahid truly is the backbone of this project."
During the trailer launch, Shahid Kapoor also reflected on his portrayal of Dev Ambre. He expressed that the film is deeply meaningful, stating, “Deva is a piece of my heart. For years, people have encouraged me to do a mass-oriented film, something that connects with the audience. This is a significant step in my career. It’s been one of the toughest films I’ve taken on. There’s much about Dev’s character that I wish to keep under wraps—you’ll need to see it on January 31."
Both Shahid Kapoor and Pavail Gulatie will portray police officers in "Deva", which will also feature Pooja Hegde as a journalist. The project is produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with Roy Kapur Films, with Jakes Bejoy composing the music.
The film is set to hit theaters on January 31 this year.
