Chennai, Jan 4 (NationPress) Actor Silambarasan, who has also embraced the role of producer by establishing his own production company Atman Cine Arts, revealed that he could step into the producer's shoes for his 50th film, directed by Desingh Periyasamy, solely because of the collective effort and dedication of the entire team.

The actor mentioned that not a single crew member involved in his 50th film has received any payment for their work thus far.

During a recent discussion on X on his birthday, Simbu elaborated on the circumstances that led him to produce his 50th film. He stated, “Initially, when this project emerged, we were uncertain about our ability to execute it. The involvement of Kamal sir and RajKamal Films offered us significant encouragement. However, the satellite, digital, and OTT sectors have encountered a minor decline, preventing us from securing full backing for a project of this magnitude.”

He further explained, “As we evaluated our options and considered downsizing the scale, we recognized that if the film didn't meet our expectations, it would be a challenge since audiences are unaware of the difficulties we face during production. We must deliver.”

Under these conditions, Simbu and director Desingh approached Kamal sir to request his approval, which he graciously granted. Simbu expressed gratitude for this support.

“Regardless of the parties we approach, there will always be a risk for them. Thus, we opted to take on the responsibility ourselves. The turning point came when cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa joined the project and engaged in discussions with us,” Simbu noted, adding that no team members have received any compensation for their contributions to this endeavor.

“You won't believe it! I refer to the entire team, from Manoj sir to Yuvan sir and the editor. Not a single individual has taken a cent as payment for this film. In fact, we haven't even formalized agreements with anyone. While collaboration is common in smaller projects, the unity of so many individuals for a large-scale film is remarkable. This project became viable due to the collective efforts of the entire team. That is why I could take on the role of producer, and I want to express my gratitude to everyone involved,” he concluded.
