The film has generated significant buzz since its announcement, and it was only recently that the official title 'Arasan' was revealed.
Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, through his X handle, made the title announcement, stating in Tamil, "Aalapirandha Arasan, Vetriyudan Silambarasan. #VetriMaaran @SilambarasanTR_ #STR49 #SilambarasanTR #VCreations47 #ARASAN. (The king born to reign! Victorious Silambarasan!)."
He also shared a striking poster featuring a man wielding a machete with his hand resting on a bicycle's carrier.
This title announcement has alleviated concerns regarding the film being shelved.
Earlier reports from IANS had confirmed that the film was indeed progressing, countering rumors of financial issues leading to its cancellation.
The speculation arose due to alleged financial difficulties and external pressure to terminate the project. However, insiders clarified that filming would proceed and that Silambarasan TR had opted for a profit-sharing arrangement instead of upfront payment.
Vetrimaran's film featuring Simbu will also showcase talents like Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, and Kishore in prominent roles.
