Mumbai, Nov 6 (NationPress) Actress Sonakshi Batra is poised to navigate a landscape of contrast as she takes on the dual roles of an undercover cop and a devoted homemaker in the forthcoming series 'Jagadhatri'.

Within her household, the lead character is often dismissed, muted, and unloved. However, when she adopts her secret identity as Agent JD, she evolves into a courageous undercover officer; sharp, relentless, and unstoppable. Her mission is twofold: to confront society's most heinous crimes and to unveil the truth surrounding her mother's enigmatic death, reclaiming her identity in a household that has never truly acknowledged her.

Sonakshi breathes life into this complex journey, depicting a woman who appears fragile in her family's view yet becomes formidable when she embraces her authentic self. Jagadhatri is motivated not by revenge, but by the pursuit of truth. She embodies every woman who is underestimated at home yet emerges as an unstoppable force when the world challenges her worth.

Alongside her is Farman Haider as Shivay, Jagadhatri's closest companion. Orphaned early in life, Shivay conceals his sorrow with charm and humor. Similar to her, he too has been overlooked, yet through her, he discovers purpose. In a reversal of roles, she becomes his liberator, aiding him in breaking free from his own barriers. Together, on their clandestine missions, they serve as each other’s confidants, allies, and silent sources of strength, demonstrating that a woman’s struggle becomes more potent when true allies stand beside her.

Farman remarked, “What I admire about Shivay is that he does not fight Jagadhatri’s battles for her; he stands beside her, enhancing her strength without ever overshadowing it. The cast also includes the dynamic Sayantani Ghosh as Maya, a media mogul who governs her empire with authority and discipline. For Maya, control signifies survival, and while her family remains her highest priority, her protectiveness can often verge on dominance.
