Sonali Raut Files Legal Notice Against Bigg Boss Marathi 6 for Unhygienic Conditions
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, April 4 (NationPress) Actress and model Sonali Raut has allegedly issued a legal notice to the producers of Bigg Boss Marathi 6, citing significant mental and physical distress during her participation in the program. She claims to have contracted the skin condition scabies due to unsanitary living conditions.
Sources close to the matter indicate that Sonali has accused the production team of exposing contestants to hazardous and extreme circumstances, resulting in serious health repercussions.
She claims that she developed scabies, a highly contagious skin issue, which she links to the unsanitary environment within the house. Furthermore, she asserts that the condition continues to affect her even post-show.
“The environment was highly unsanitary. There were large rats in the kitchen consuming groceries that were subsequently used to prepare meals for contestants. Food provided by Endemol Production during ‘Weekend ka War’ had cockroaches crawling out of it,” Sonali stated.
She continued: “Only one washroom was available for all 17 contestants, which was misused for smoking, littering, and eating food, with chicken, eggshells, and even dead rats present. Men and women differ greatly in their needs (sic).”
Sonali also pointed out the lack of basic hygiene supplies, mentioning a shortage of towels and bed sheets. She noted that contestants had to share towels and bed linens, which went unchanged for days.
Furthermore, she alleged that essential items were insufficient; only 17 toothbrushes and razors had to be borrowed among contestants by the second week.
“There were moments when I was left feeling starved, lacking proper food and sleep. The electronic appliances like microwaves and clothes dryers were borrowed from Bigg Boss Hindi and were not hygienic, bearing stickers of former contestants like Amaal, Tanya, and Mridul. These appliances were poorly maintained,” she expressed.
Just two days before the “Weekend ka War” episode, Sonali had asked the cameras and host Rietesh Deshmukh to evict her due to the infection she was suffering from, but this request was allegedly edited out by the channel and production house, according to a statement made on her behalf.
“My agreement was shared with fellow contestants, which constitutes a clear breach of trust.”
The legal notice reportedly emphasizes concerns regarding inadequate medical care and alleged negligence by the show’s management.
“I placed my trust in the platform, but my health and well-being were jeopardized. There must be accountability to ensure that no one else experiences this,” Sonali concluded.
