Mumbai, Aug 11 (NationPress) Actress Soni Razdan was granted the extraordinary privilege of meeting the Dalai Lama. Expressing her heartfelt appreciation for this momentous occasion, Razdan shared several photos from her encounter on social media.
Describing the significance of the experience, she remarked: "I can hardly believe that I was lucky enough to meet His Holiness The Dalai Lama during this journey. Some experiences transcend words. They don’t require explanations. A pure feeling is sufficient. I am grateful for this remarkable experience. Thank you. @exsultravel @the_freckled_indian for facilitating this," accompanied by a folded hands emoji.
Recently, Razdan also spoke out about her feelings regarding the suffering occurring in Palestine.
In sharing a glimpse of her family history, she revealed that during the rise of concentration camps targeting Jews in Germany, her grandfather valiantly operated an underground newspaper opposing Hitler.
Through her Instagram, Razdan shared: "In this very terrifying and uncertain atmosphere, he possessed the bravery to run an underground newspaper against Hitler. They distributed it widely, and inevitably, he was discovered. He was arrested, imprisoned, and later sent to a concentration camp."
Fortunately, her grandfather had an excellent lawyer, which led to his release; however, he was instructed never to return to Germany.
Feeling pride in her grandfather's extraordinary courage, she stated: "My grandfather had the bravery to defy a tyrant all those years ago. Therefore, witnessing the events in Palestine today fills me with relief that he is no longer alive. It would have shattered him. The very individuals he fought so hard to protect have now become the oppressors."
Razdan emphasized that many Jews oppose the current situation in Palestine, similar to how numerous Germans resisted Hitler, although few exhibited the courage of her grandfather to stand for righteousness.
