Sonu Sood and Honey Singh Honor Their Punjabi Heritage with the Track ‘Hitman’

Mumbai, Dec 17 (NationPress) The creators behind Sonu Sood's film ‘Fateh’ have launched its second track, ‘Hitman.’
The actor joins forces with rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh for this vibrant and catchy tune. The lyrics have been crafted by Leo Grewal, while Bosco Martis has choreographed the dance. Sood took to Instagram to announce the song's release, stating, “They’re here with a tsunami! Punjabi Munde bring the storm Hitman Out Now.”
Discussing his collaboration with Honey Singh, Sonu remarked, “This journey began when both of us Punjabis met in Chandigarh years ago. Honey’s music resonated with the streets back then, and it continues to do so today. Working with him on Hitman feels like destiny completing its circle. His beats have given ‘Fateh’ the edge it required. This song is a powerhouse filled with intensity, catchy melodies, and immense Punjabi pride.”
The rapper added, “I’ve known Sonu sir for over 16 years. Even back then, I recognized he was destined for more than just acting – he was meant to create films. When he shared parts of ‘Fateh’ with me, I sensed his passion as a filmmaker. Having the chance to create Hitman for this wonderful movie was akin to providing the soundtrack to his vision. I recall making music in Chandigarh and Mohali years ago, and he always assured me that Mumbai would embrace my music. His faith in me back then was invaluable, and now we are delivering something epic, celebrating our Punjabi heritage.”
On directing Honey and Sonu, Bosco Martis commented, “Collaborating with Honey for the first time was an incredible experience; his energy was truly infectious. His style, vibe, and my vision aligned perfectly. Then there was Sonu—so laid-back and cooperative. Directing both of them was immensely fulfilling. The energy on set was fantastic, and everything came together beautifully. Having two amazing Punjabi men leading this, supported by my team’s efforts, made it an incredibly joyful experience.”
In related news, ‘Fateh,’ supported by Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions and co-produced by Ajay Dhama, marks Sonu’s directorial debut.
This film tells a gripping tale of courage, resilience, and the battle against cybercrime. ‘Fateh’ is set to premiere on January 10, 2025.
