Subhash Ghai's Health Update: Spokesperson Confirms He's Doing Well

Mumbai, Dec 7 (NationPress) The spokesperson for filmmaker Subhash Ghai shared late Saturday evening that the renowned director, who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, is doing well.
The representative stated in a media release that the director was admitted for a routine health check-up.
The spokesperson declared, "We want to assure everyone that Mr. Subhash Ghai is completely fine. He has been admitted for a routine examination and is in good spirits. We appreciate all the love and concern from everyone."
Previously, the hospital had issued a statement mentioning his medical history, which includes Ischemic heart disease (s/p AVR 2009, CABG in 2011, and pacemaker insertion in 2011) and a recent diagnosis of hypothyroidism. He is currently under the supervision of Dr. Rohit Deshpande in the ICU.
Subhash Ghai began his journey in Bollywood as an actor, featuring in minor roles in films like ‘Taqdeer’ and ‘Aaradhna’. He later took on lead roles in movies such as ‘Umang’ and ‘Gumrah’, although his acting career did not flourish, leading him to transition into directing.
He is celebrated for directing iconic films including ‘Kalicharan’, ‘Vishwanath’, ‘Karz’, ‘Hero’, ‘Vidhaata’, ‘Meri Jung’, ‘Karma’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Saudagar’, ‘Khalnayak’, ‘Pardes’, and ‘Taal’.
In 2006, he was honored with the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues for producing the socially relevant film ‘Iqbal’. That same year, he established the Whistling Woods International film and media institute in Mumbai.
Recently, the filmmaker participated in the 55th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, where his memoir, ‘Karma's Child: The Story of Indian Cinema's Ultimate Showman’, was launched. The festival also featured a screening of his musical ‘Taal’.
His most recent project was the production and writing of the comedy-drama streaming film ‘36 Farmhouse’, which debuted in 2022.
