Mumbai, March 31 (NationPress) Actor Taha Shah Badussha, whose upcoming film is “PARO - The Untold Story of Bride Slavery,” expresses his desire to take on roles that connect with the audience, promote awareness, and strive for societal change.

Discussing PARO, Taha shared, “PARO is a film that profoundly impacted me when I first learned about it. I aspire to portray characters that resonate with viewers and inspire change in society.”

The film sheds light on the struggles of PARO brides, also referred to as Molki brides, who find themselves ensnared in a damaging cycle of bride purchasing and servitude. Taha embodies the character of Rashid, initially depicted as a remorse-free man, who later encounters situations that catalyze his transformation and lead him towards redemption.

“I aim for my roles to strongly resonate with audiences, and my character in PARO aligns perfectly with that vision. Everyone who has viewed the film thus far has been profoundly touched and moved by its narrative, which is the impact we collectively sought,” he remarked.

PARO is helmed by two-time National Award-winning director Gajendra Ahire.

The movie was recently displayed at Academy LA, in collaboration with Los Angeles Fashion Week, where producer Trupti Bhoir partnered with LA Fashion Closet to unveil TARPA TRIBES, a brand initiated by Trupti Bhoir and her organization SHELTER FOUNDATION, aimed at offering employment, housing, and skill development to tribal women from remote areas in Palghar, Maharashtra, India.

Taha began his cinematic journey with the film Luv Ka The End, portraying an antihero, which was a groundbreaking role in the youth genre. He was later featured in the 2013 film Gippi.

In 2015, he starred in Mahesh Bhatt's Barkhaa opposite Pakistani actress Sara Loren. In 2016, he appeared in Karan Johar's Baar Baar Dekho alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif, playing the character of Tarun. He also featured in Ranchi Diaries. Taha made his Hollywood debut in Draupadi Unleashed as Gautam.

However, it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2024 series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” that brought him into the limelight.
