Mumbai, April 26 (NationPress) Tahira Kashyap, the wife of Ayushmann Khurrana, recalled her teenage visit to Jallianwala Bagh after watching Akshay Kumar's "Kesari Chapter 2".
She shared that during her visit to this crucial historical site, she was enveloped by an unsettling silence. On her Instagram, Tahira expressed, "I was probably around 12 or 13 when I first experienced Jallianwala Bagh. I grew up hearing about that dreadful day from family members who had firsthand knowledge. When I visited Jallianwala Bagh with all those stories and a dark history, I was profoundly affected. An eerie silence surrounded my younger self. And today, as I watched the film, I was equally shaken and that unsettling silence lingered."
Praising Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday for their stellar performances, she continued, "For me, it may be a generational trauma, but it was captured so beautifully and poetically. What extraordinary performances! I am so proud to witness such cinema. @akshaykumar your performance left me wanting more and moved many like me to tears. @ananyapanday your Punjabi accent was spot on. You embodied your character completely. It was a pleasure to watch you. @actormaddy you were wonderfully intimidating!"
Recognizing the technical team, Tahira stated, "The entire cast was exceptional. @karanstyagi you drew out the best from every aspect and created a profound impact that lingers even after leaving the theater. @debojeet_ray what stunning cinematography! I loved every single frame. @bindraamritpal your captivating story was sensitively retold. It appeared that every department, including set design, dialogue writing, music direction, costumes, and editing, worked together with a mission to pour their essence into the film, showcasing immense talent. It’s a must-see. It was a truly enriching experience. The audience remained seated until the end credits, even though it wasn’t an industry screening... congratulations to the whole team!"
She wrapped up by congratulating Karan Johar on a cinematic triumph.
"I’m so pleased this film was made and executed so excellently! Congratulations @karanjohar @apoorva1972 @anandntiwari," Tahira concluded.
