The author further added, “We visited Inari Temple, which was stunning. It involved a beautiful hike of approximately 16,000 steps to the summit through a myriad of Tori gates (orange gates). I bought my little one some Japanese hair accessories from a quaint shop at Senso-ji Temple and picked up some rice cakes as well. The Nara Deer Park was filled with deer who bowed down in gratitude for the biscuits they received. There’s much to learn from them about having a thankful heart.
