Teaser for Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ Delayed for Significant Reason

Mumbai, Dec 27 (NationPress) The teaser for Sikandar, which was supposed to be released today, December 27, to celebrate Salman Khan’s 59th birthday, has been postponed.

This delay is due to the recent passing of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on December 26. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, this action-packed thriller will now be available online on December 28 at 11:07 AM, as per an announcement made through the official X account of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

The statement reads, “In light of the passing of our respected former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to inform that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to December 28 at 11:07 AM.”

The eagerly awaited project, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and helmed by A.R. Murugadoss, recently unveiled its first-look poster on social media. Sikandar promises a captivating mix of action, drama, and emotional depth.

On Friday, the Central government announced a week of national mourning to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who died at the age of 92 on December 26.

The Ministry of Home Affairs, in a notification sent to the chief secretaries of all states and Union Territories, declared that seven days of national mourning would take place across India until January 1, 2025, in memory of the late Prime Minister.

The final rites for the former Prime Minister will be conducted with full state honors.

The hospital confirmed the news of Dr. Singh's passing late on Thursday night.

In their statement, the hospital said, “With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, aged 92. He was being treated for age-related medical issues and experienced a sudden loss of consciousness at home on December 26. Resuscitative efforts were initiated immediately at home. He was brought to the emergency department at AIIMS. Despite all attempts, he could not be revived and was declared deceased at 9:51 PM.”
