The film is under the direction of Sanjoy Nag and is expected to commence filming by the end of 2025.
Shweta expressed, "This film is profoundly significant to me — not only because it marks my debut as a producer but also due to the message it conveys. Queer love stories must be portrayed with authenticity, beauty, and depth."
She further stated that having Tillotama on the project adds a special touch. “She’s an incredible actress, but beyond that, she’s someone I have immense respect and trust for. We’ve always wanted to collaborate, and I can’t imagine a better project to start this journey.”
Earlier in May, Shweta made her theatre production debut with the critically acclaimed British play 'Cock', which premiered in Delhi on June 6 and in Mumbai on June 10 at Prithvi Theatre.
