Mumbai, July 16 (NationPress) Author and former actress Twinkle Khanna humorously reflected on her inaugural live cricket experience while attending the third Test match between England and India.
She shared a moment on Instagram featuring a photo with her superstar husband Akshay Kumar. In the snapshot, Twinkle is enjoying a yogurt and gazing affectionately at Akshay, who is holding a coffee mug. The picture also provides a glimpse of the match at Lord's Cricket Ground, famously known as the Home of Cricket in the UK.
In her caption, she wrote: “A quick breakfast and a lengthy day of cricket—this is my first time witnessing 22 men chase a single ball to prove they each possess two. Cricket is genuinely a religion, and who knows… I may just become its latest devotee. I thoroughly enjoyed the wickets, runs, and continuous thrill.(sic)”
Regarding the match, India was bowled out for 170 in 74.5 overs, despite a resilient performance from Ravindra Jadeja, who was the top scorer with 61 in the second innings. Jadeja had also contributed 72 runs in the first innings, showcasing his excellent form in the series.
India is set to travel to Manchester for the fourth Test at Old Trafford beginning on July 23, aiming to recover and equal the series. With two Tests left, the visitors still have a chance to make a comeback—but as Sourav Ganguly pointed out, their top order needs to perform when it counts.
Akshay's latest film, Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, features a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, and many others.
He was also featured in the Telugu film Kannappa, where he portrays Lord Shiva. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the film is based on the legend of Kannappa, a devotee of God Shiva, starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role.
Next, Akshay will appear in Jolly LLB 3, a black comedy legal drama film written and directed by Subhash Kapoor. This will be the third installment in the Jolly LLB series and a sequel to Jolly LLB 2. The film also features Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao, Huma Qureshi, Saurabh Shukla, and Annu Kapoor.
