Did Unni Mukundan Really Assault Vipin Kumar?

Chennai, May 27 (NationPress) Rejecting all claims made against him by his former manager Vipin Kumar, renowned Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan asserted late Tuesday night that there was never any physical assault on Vipin Kumar at any time.

In an extensive statement shared on his Instagram stories, Unni Mukundan emphasized that Vipin Kumar's accusations were completely unfounded and highlighted that the entire area was under CCTV surveillance.

The incident began on Tuesday morning when Vipin Kumar, the actor's ex-manager, lodged a police report alleging that he had been physically attacked and verbally mistreated by the actor. The manager reportedly filed the complaint after receiving medical attention for his injuries.

Unni Mukundan, who had maintained a careful silence regarding the matter until Tuesday evening, released a statement late that night outlining his perspective.

In a post titled, “Please read,” Unni Mukundan revealed that Vipin Kumar reached out to him when he was preparing to launch his first film under his own production around 2018.

“He presented himself as the PRO for many esteemed celebrities within the industry. He was never officially designated as my Personal Manager,” Mukundan stated. He recounted his initial conflict with Vipin during the filming of the recently released Marco, when Vipin had a serious fallout with an employee from Obscura Entertainments led by Seban, which became public and was distressing for the film.

Unni Mukundan mentioned that he began receiving numerous complaints about Vipin’s gossiping from both emerging and respected filmmakers, stating, “This individual has acted in a profoundly unforgivable manner as both a colleague and a friend.”

The acclaimed Malayalam actor shared that when he confronted Vipin in person, the latter disregarded all his concerns.

“He asserts that he has backing from some of my friends in the industry. He later apologized for his wrongdoings in front of me and Vishnu Unnithan, (a friend who recently confirmed this in an interview with Manorama Online),” Unni Mukundan recalled.

He further claimed that since Vipin had access to all his digital information, he requested a written apology, which Vipin failed to provide. Instead, Unni noticed a series of completely fabricated, alarming allegations circulating on news platforms and social media against him.

“At no point did I physically assault him as he claims, and the allegations he has made are entirely false. The entire area is under CCTV surveillance. Please validate this information before drawing any conclusions,” the actor stated.

Unni Mukundan alleged that he became aware that his former manager had been misleading individuals by claiming he was exceedingly busy for five years, potentially impacting his opportunities.

He accused Vipin of spreading “inhumane rumors” and even reaching out to an actress suggesting a marriage proposal to him (Unni Mukundan), which escalated into a significant confrontation between them.

Unni Mukundan also alleged that Vipin threatened to utilize his resources to tarnish his reputation, declaring that “every word spoken by this individual is an absolute fabrication.”

Vehemently denying all allegations, he stated, “I’m merely a convenient target. He is threatening and harassing me for personal gain. I firmly believe some individuals dissatisfied with my personal and professional life are collaborating with this man to sabotage my career. I have built my career through immense dedication and perseverance. I stand by the truth, even if I face various forms of victimization and harassment.”
