Chennai, April 16 (NationPress) Kannada actor Upendra has officially announced that he shares combination scenes with the legendary Superstar Rajinikanth in the highly anticipated action film ‘Coolie’ directed by Lokesh Kanakaraj.
In a recent meeting with the Telugu media, Upendra remarked, “I didn’t inquire much, but Lokesh garu came over to narrate the story to me. I don’t need to ask him anything. Just being beside him (Rajinikanth) is enough. If I am an Ekalavya, he is like my Dronacharya. I have immense respect for him. While he has entertained many, he has enlightened me. I feel truly fortunate to collaborate with him.”
When asked about the involvement of Telugu star Nagarjuna and Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in the film, Upendra smiled and confirmed, “Yes, there are combination scenes.”
Set to release globally on August 14 of this year, the film has generated significant excitement.
One major draw is the reunion of actors Sathyaraj and Rajinikanth, appearing together after nearly 38 years. The duo last shared the screen in the blockbuster Tamil film 'Mr Bharath', released in 1986, where Sathyaraj portrayed Rajinikanth's father.
