Chennai, April 7 (NationPress) Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, whose production house V Creations is behind the highly anticipated action film 'Vaadivaasal' directed by Vetrimaran, recently disclosed in a YouTube interview that filming will recommence in July this year.
Thanu shared insights about the film featuring Suriya in the lead role, mentioning that a recently filmed song is “extraordinary” and turned out exceptionally well.
“It is an extraordinary song. I shouldn’t be expressing this without the director’s consent, but this song has been crafted in a remarkable way. It was so impressive that I found myself inquiring about the lyricist,” Thanu remarked, noting that he met with director Vetrimaran just a week prior.
“He narrated around 25 minutes of the storyline. After hearing him, I told him, ‘This alone is sufficient.’ Those 25 minutes of the film are enough to leave audiences ecstatic. The screenplay is truly captivating,” he added.
In January of this year, producer Thanu announced that filming for Vetrimaran’s 'Vaadivaasal' would commence soon.
This announcement coincided with the festival day of Maatu Pongal, a significant occasion celebrating bulls.
Thanu shared a picture with Vetrimaran and Suriya, captioning it in Tamil, “Agilam Aarathika Vaadi Vaasal Thirakirathu” (With the world cheering, 'Vaadi Vaasal' opens). 'Vaadi Vaasal' signifies the narrow passage resembling a gateway through which bulls enter the arena for the traditional sport of 'Jallikattu', particularly during the Pongal festivities.
The film has generated immense excitement among fans for two primary reasons: Vetrimaran collaborating with Suriya, and its foundation on the novel 'Vaadivaasal', penned by renowned Tamil author Ci. Su. Chellappa, which revolves around the bull-taming sport of Jallikattu.
There are circulating rumors that the film could potentially be developed as a trilogy; however, this has not been officially confirmed by the production team.
