Chennai, Mar 7 (NationPress) Music composer G V Prakash, known for his work on director Vetrimaran’s highly anticipated action film 'Vaadi Vaasal', featuring Suriya in the leading role, has announced that he has commenced the process of crafting songs for the movie.

On his X timeline, G V Prakash shared, “#Vaadivaasal song composing has started. @theVcreations @Suriya_offl.”

He also shared a photograph with Vetrimaran in the studio where the compositions are taking place.

Following the music director's announcement, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu tweeted, “Agilame Aarathikka Inithe Aarambam. #VaadiVaasal (A sweet start as the world cheers) @Suriya_offl #VetriMaaran @gvprakash.”

Earlier in January, producer Thanu revealed that filming for Vetrimaran's 'Vaadi Vaasal' would commence shortly.

This announcement was made on Maatu Pongal, a significant day celebrating bulls.

Thanu shared a photo with director Vetrimaran and Suriya, stating in Tamil, “Agilam Aarathika Vaadi Vaasal Thirakirathu” (With the world cheering, the Vaadi Vaasal opens). The term Vaadi Vaasal describes a narrow pathway, akin to a gateway, through which bulls participate in the traditional sport of 'Jallikattu'. Notably, Jallikattu takes place on Maatu Pongal as part of the Pongal festivities.

This film has generated considerable excitement among fans for two primary reasons. Firstly, it marks the collaboration between Vetrimaran and Suriya.

The second reason for the anticipation is that it is adapted from the novel 'Vaadivaasal', penned by renowned Tamil author Ci. Su. Chellappa, which revolves around the bull-taming sport of Jallikattu.

There are speculations circulating in the industry that the film may be developed into a trilogy. However, no official confirmation has been provided by the film team regarding this.
