Chennai, Dec 15 (NationPress) The team behind director Sudha Kongara's much-anticipated historical film, 'Parasakthi', starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, has just unveiled the uplifting third single 'Nammakaana Kaalam', delighting fans and movie enthusiasts alike.

Dawn Pictures, the film's production company, shared on their X account, "A tune that brings us joy and celebrates our time. #Parasakthi's third single is now available. Namakkana Kaalam (Tamil). Janjara Janjaraja (Telugu). A creation by @gvprakash, coming to cinemas for Pongal."

'Nammakaana Kaalam' appears to be a celebratory anthem, composed by G V Prakash Kumar and performed by Haricharan, Nakash Aziz, and Velmurugan. The lyrics are penned by Arivu.

Interestingly, certain lines in the song highlight the importance of advocating for one's language, leading industry insiders to speculate that the film's narrative may touch upon the linguistic tensions that affected the state during the 1960s and 1970s.

It is worth noting that Sivakarthikeyan commenced dubbing for the film in the final week of November.

Dawn Pictures released a video showcasing the actor dubbing under the guidance of director Sudha Kongara, stating, "When his voice turns fierce. @sivakarthikeyan starts dubbing for #Parasakthi - set to hit theaters on January 14th."

Both actress Sreeleela, who stars as the female lead, and actor Ravi Mohan, portraying the film's antagonist, have completed their dubbing. Notably, Sreeleela has lent her own voice for this project.

The production team officially announced on October 21 that filming had been completed. The Pollachi schedule wrapped up in August.

According to insider sources, several key scenes were filmed during this period, which began on July 18. However, Sivakarthikeyan joined the crew somewhat later.

It is also worth mentioning that the first schedule of 'Parasakthi' was filmed in Madurai, with the second schedule taking place in Sri Lanka, and the Pollachi schedule marking the third.

'Parasakthi' has generated significant excitement among fans and cinema lovers. This period piece, which also includes Atharvaa, is set in the 1960s during the time of Madras.

A teaser released by the team depicts the story unfolding in Pachaiyappa’s College, Madras, where Sivakarthikeyan is shown seeking something door to door. He emerges as a courageous leader, aiming to rally students for a violent protest against an oppressive system, which seems to enforce a mandate stating ‘Students - do not touch’. Interestingly, this order is altered to ‘Do not touch students’ in the teaser.

The teaser suggests that Ravi Mohan’s character is determined to eliminate Sivakarthikeyan's character.

'Parasakthi', previously referred to as #SK25 since it marks Sivakarthikeyan's 25th film, features music by G V Prakash and cinematography by renowned cameraman Ravi K Chandran. The film's action sequences are choreographed by Supreme Sundar. It is set to release in theaters on January 14 next year, coinciding with the Pongal festival.
