Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) The filming for the highly anticipated movie “Border 2” has officially commenced, with Bollywood star Varun Dhawan joining the crew in Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh.

Taking place in the remote armed forces cantonment areas of Jhansi, this film seeks to portray the profound emotions and heroism that have characterized the franchise. Featuring a compelling narrative, thrilling action scenes, and touching drama, the film is set to captivate audiences.

A photograph from the filming location has surfaced, showcasing Varun alongside Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Dutta as they pose with the film’s clapboard.

This film is directed by Anurag Singh and serves as a sequel to the iconic 1997 film “Border”, which depicted the events surrounding the Battle of Longewala (1971). Originally directed by J. P. Dutta, the film reflects the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.

The original featured stars like Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry, Puneet Issar, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt, and Sharbani Mukherjee.
