Mumbai, Oct 28 (NationPress) Actress Vidya Malavade emphasizes that yoga is fundamentally about being ‘fully present’ in the moment.
The star of ‘Chak De! India’ shared a video from her latest yoga session on her official Instagram account.
In the footage, she practiced the ‘Fall and Rise’ pose, revealing that she stumbled twice before successfully mastering it on her third attempt.
Reflecting on the uniqueness of each day, she stated, “This practice is truly humbling after decades of acing this tradition... today I fell... twice over! Sure we aced it on the third go. Everyday is different... Body and mind feel differently and as long as there is no ego, falling or rising all is well.”
The post was accompanied by the caption, “My practice is my Guru... my lifeline.. And it is truly humbling… Progressing or regressing... it’s all about coming back on my mat and being fully present (evil eye emoji) was wonderful to practice with fellow Yogi @jayseaswell at @theglustudio.”
Vidya enjoys sharing her wellness journey with her Instagram community.
In September, she posted about her shower affirmation to dispel negative energy.
She mentioned that she hasn't used soap on her skin for the past decade, yet her skin remains as soft as ever.
Her ritual involves wetting the skin, taking a spoonful of salt, and mixing it with a few drops of water. She then applies the paste all over her body, steps out of the shower for 30 seconds, and recites her affirmation.
“Thank you for taking away any intentional and unintentional Nazar coming towards me and mine... And anything that doesn’t serve me!”
Afterwards, she suggests stepping back into the shower and visualizing the water washing away the salt along with any aches, pains, worries, anxiety, or anger down the drain.
Vidya recommends performing this ritual every month for 10 consecutive days, followed by a break to avoid dry skin.
