Mumbai, March 8 (NationPress) Vijay Varma proudly affirmed his Marwari heritage during an engaging discussion on the IIFA 2025 stage. The talented actor even showcased his skills in the Marwari language.
The 'Jaane Jaan' star disclosed that his maternal grandmother resides in Kishangarh, Rajasthan, making his visit to Jaipur for IIFA feel like a journey back to his roots.
Vijay shared, "I traveled to Jodhpur. Our visit allowed us to explore the stunning blue city of Jodhpur. One remarkable aspect of Rajasthan is the unique architecture that results from mixing blue ink with limestone for wall painting. My Nani's home is located in Kishangarh."
The 'Darlings' actor further mentioned that even though he was raised in Hyderabad, he identifies as a Marwari.
"I am a Marwari, and we communicate in Marwari at home. So, returning to my home state, I’ve realized many Rajasthanis are part of the film industry. Despite being raised in Hyderabad, my roots are Marwari," he stated.
