Actor Vikram Singh Chauhan has spoken candidly about stepping into the spotlight as a leading man for the first time on the silver screen with 'Pooja Meri Jaan', a film he describes as a meaningful departure from his earlier work. The thriller drama, directed by Navjot Gulati and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films, is set to premiere on Zee5 on 2 October.

Best known for his work in the television series 'Yehh Jadu Hai Jinn Ka', Chauhan said the complexity of his character was the primary draw. "Pooja Meri Jaan was an interesting film for me because of the kind of character I got to play," he said.

"There are a lot of emotions involved, and the character goes through different situations that slowly change the way you look at him. I enjoyed working on those parts because they gave me a chance to do something different from what I have done before."

"Pooja is a deeply layered character, and what drew me to both the film and her journey was the complexity of what unfolds around her," Thakur added. The film marks a notable collaboration between Thakur and Qureshi, two of Hindi cinema's more versatile performers, under the banner of Maddock Films — the production house behind several commercially successful genre experiments in recent years.
