Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 8 (NationPress) Recent speculation suggested that actor Vikrant Massey had been substituted by 'Ba***ds of Bollywood' star Raghav Juyal in the upcoming sequel of Nitesh Tiwari's "Ramayana".
To address these swirling rumors, Vikrant took to his social media platform to clarify the situation.
The National Award-winning actor dismissed the claims, stating he was never involved in the project.
He posted on his Instagram Stories, "OK. To put rumors to rest, I never was a part of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayan. (sic)"
"The many media portals reporting about my supposed 'replacement' should've done the requisite background check," he further noted.
Sending his best wishes to the "Ramayana" team, Vikrant concluded, "Disappointing. Nonetheless, wishing everyone a part of the movie all the very best. Love."
Previously, the '12th Fail' actor had made a similar statement but later chose to delete the post.
In that post, he had remarked, "OK. To put things to rest, I was never a part of this movie. Am not, never was. Such irresponsible media coverage from 'respectable' media houses is kinda appalling. Nonetheless, wishing everyone on Ramayana all the very best. Will surely buy a ticket and watch it in cinemas."
Anticipated by many, "Ramayana" features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, KGF star Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
The rich ensemble cast also includes Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan, Sheeba Chaddha, Adinath Kothare, and Kunal Kapoor in significant roles, among others.
The mythological saga "Ramayana" is anticipated to hit theaters worldwide by Diwali 2026, with its second installment expected to release by Diwali 2027.
Meanwhile, Vikrant has an exciting lineup ahead, including "O'Romeo", "Yaar Jigri", "Talaakhon Mein Ek", and "White".
