Mumbai, Jan 16 (NationPress) Will Smith has embarked on a remarkable exploratory journey with the latest National Geographic original series "POLE TO POLE".
Taking five years to produce, this series showcases Will's adventures across all seven continents, from the icy landscapes of Antarctica to the lush jungles of the Amazon, towering Himalayas, arid African deserts, enchanting Pacific islands, and the icy realms of the Arctic.
During this thrilling expedition, Will faces astonishing challenges for 100 days: skiing to the South Pole, capturing a giant anaconda, milking a venomous tarantula, climbing mountains, and diving beneath the ice at the North Pole.
Reflecting on his incredible experience, Will expressed that this journey is unparalleled compared to anything he has previously undertaken. He candidly revealed moments of uncertainty about returning home.
He noted that the breathtaking beauty of nature worldwide was his constant source of inspiration throughout the journey.
Will stated, “This journey was unlike anything I’ve ever done - at times I feared I might not make it home! It’s an exploration not just of the planet’s edges, but of some of the most extraordinary people living there. From the coldest ice to the deepest jungles, the beauty of our world inspired my every step with awe and hope.”
The premiere episode of the documentary will air on Friday at 9:30 PM on National Geographic, featuring Will as he heads to the South Pole, skiing and trekking across vast icefields while contending with a massive cliff of ice amidst bone-chilling winds.
The second episode, scheduled for release on January 23rd, will see Will delve deep into the Ecuadorian Amazon on a quest for lethal creatures, accompanied by professor Bryan Fry and local mountaineer Carla Perez.
The final episode will debut on January 30, where Will, Bryan, and Carla will team up with local Waorani elder Penti Baihua in search of the world’s largest snake: the giant green anaconda.
