Bhopal, Nov 18 (NationPress) In a significant initiative to enhance traditional Indian medicinal practices, the Madhya Pradesh government announced on Tuesday its plan to set up 50-bedded Ayush hospitals in 12 districts throughout the state. The cabinet convened and sanctioned the establishment of 373 permanent positions and 806 on-call manpower roles to facilitate the effective functioning of these new Ayurvedic and integrated healthcare centers.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, while addressing reporters post-cabinet meeting, revealed that these hospitals will be established in Bhopal, Balaghat, Panna, Sheopur, Guna, Amarkantak (Anuppur district), Shujalpur (Shajapur district), Indore, Mandleshwar (Khargone district), Narsinghpur, Bhind, Sehore, and Barwani. The Barwani district already hosts a 30-bedded Ayush hospital, which is set to be enhanced under this expansion initiative.

"These facilities will provide affordable, preventive, and curative care, thereby decreasing dependence on allopathic treatments for various conditions while generating job opportunities for Ayush professionals," he added.
