Bhopal, Sep 23 (NationPress) In alignment with the Health Department, the Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) pay scale is being introduced for AYUSH specialists and officers in Madhya Pradesh, positively impacting 2,698 professionals — including 1,453 Ayurvedic practitioners, 228 homeopathic doctors, and 85 Unani specialists.
In a significant announcement made on the 10th National Ayurveda Day, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav unveiled extensive reforms for the AYUSH sector, signifying a new chapter of acknowledgment and growth for traditional medicine in the state.
The Chief Minister made these announcements during the state-level festivities at the Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium in Bhopal.
He declared that all AYUSH medical officers would be promoted to first-class status and given senior roles.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Yadav revealed plans for the opening of 12 new AYUSH hospitals, which include two 50-bed facilities in Ujjain and Khajuraho, along with smaller 10-bed hospitals in 10 districts such as Pachmarhi, Mandsaur, and Agar-Malwa.
The AYUSH public health initiative will now serve 55 districts, accompanied by a new 'Karunya' program aimed at providing Ayurvedic care for cancer patients.
Under the National AYUSH Mission, eight new Ayurvedic colleges are being established, with three — in Jhabua, Shujalpur, and Dindori — set to open this year.
B.Sc. Nursing programs will begin in Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Ujjain, each offering 30 seats.
