Quetta, April 14 (NationPress) The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has reported the deaths of three Pakistani naval personnel during what it refers to as its inaugural maritime operation in the Jiwani region of Gwadar district in Balochistan. This announcement coincides with the unveiling of their newly formed naval division.

In a video disseminated by the BLA's media arm, Hakkal, which has gained traction on social media, four masked combatants can be seen advancing towards the ocean before boarding a speedboat.

The footage depicted the fighters navigating the waters toward a vessel identified as a Pakistan Coast Guard boat, where they opened fire indiscriminately.

“As long as a single Baloch remains on this land, we will not permit you to occupy this sea or land. We are prepared today, just as we were yesterday, and will be ready in the future… You will be targeted everywhere,” declared the fighters prior to the assault.

According to a declaration from BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the group has officially constituted its naval wing, named the Hammal Maritime Defence Force (HMDF), aimed at the “protection of the Baloch seas.”

He stated that this new branch of the BLA executed its first operation by attacking a patrolling vessel of the Pakistani Navy on the morning of April 12 in the 'Mil Tiyab' area of Jiwani.

As a direct result of the BLA's concentrated gunfire, Jeeyand confirmed that all three “occupying navy personnel on board,” identified as Naik Afzal, Sepoy Jameel, and Sepoy Umar, were killed instantly.

He further noted that after the operation, the BLA fighters successfully retreated to their secure hideouts.

The BLA contended that the “Baloch national independence movement” has transitioned into a phase that extends beyond terrestrial operations into maritime arenas, branding this evolution as a “graveyard for the enemy.”

“The occupying Pakistani forces and their imperialist allies have been unlawfully exploiting the Baloch seas for years, leading to the economic devastation of our fishermen, while the coastlines have been transformed into military strongholds. The establishment of the Hammal Maritime Defence Force marks the inception of our national navy, which will remain vigilant to halt the maritime exploitation of Baloch resources, disrupt enemy naval operations, and safeguard the occupied coasts,” stated the BLA.

In a stark warning to Pakistani military forces, the BLA emphasized that their operational capabilities are no longer confined to mountainous or urban areas, asserting, “We have now attained the full capability to target the enemy in deep waters, including its naval facilities and assets. Our struggle will persist with unyielding intensity until the enemy's complete withdrawal and the re-establishment of a free and sovereign Baloch state.”
