Thimphu, Oct 20 (NationPress) Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay extended sincere wishes for Diwali, expressing hopes that this festival of lights brings forth hope, harmony, and fresh starts.
In a message posted on X, the Bhutanese PM stated: “Wishing everyone a bright and joyous Diwali filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. May the light of this festival guide us towards hope, harmony, and new beginnings.”
At the same time, Israel also conveyed warm sentiments for the occasion, promoting ideas of peace, renewal, and hope as millions across India commemorate the triumph of light over darkness.
“May the lights of Diwali shine in our homes and hearts. From Jerusalem to Delhi and beyond, may this festival inspire us all to maintain faith in a brighter tomorrow. Wishing all our friends in India a blessed and peaceful Diwali,” the Israeli Foreign Ministry wrote on X.
Various Indian diplomatic missions globally celebrated Diwali, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and promoting the universal theme of unity and harmony.
In Japan, students, faculty, and members of the Indian community at Kagoshima University, along with supporters from the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, came together for a vibrant celebration as part of the 'Diwali Celebrations in Japanese Universities.'
In a video address, R. Madhu Sudan, Charge d’Affaires at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, emphasized the strengthening friendship and cultural exchanges between India and Japan.
“Indian students and faculty across universities in Japan are celebrating the festival of lights, symbolizing the lasting bond of friendship between our two nations,” the Embassy shared on X.
Moreover, the Indian High Commissioner to Cyprus, Manish, and his team conveyed warm greetings to the Indian community and friends of India in Cyprus during this joyous occasion.
“As India and Cyprus continue to strengthen their partnership, may this Festival of Lights illuminate our hearts and homes with happiness, peace, and prosperity, further enhancing the bonds of friendship between our two nations,” the Indian High Commission in Cyprus posted on X.
Additionally, the Indian Consul General in Shanghai, Pratik Mathur, along with the Indian Association in Shanghai, organized the largest Diwali celebration in Eastern China.
Over 800 attendees from the Indian diaspora, local community, and consular corps participated in the Laxmi Puja, followed by spectacular cultural performances and a raffle draw. The Indian cuisine served during the event was particularly well-received by foreign guests.
