New Delhi, Oct 21 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday for the Diwali greetings. He expressed his hope that the strategic partnership between India and Israel will continue to thrive in the future.
PM Modi also conveyed his warm wishes to Netanyahu on his birthday, wishing him good health and success.
"Thank you, my dear friend, for your warm Diwali greetings. I also extend my heartiest wishes on your birthday. Wishing you good health and success. May the India-Israel Strategic Partnership continue to flourish in the years to come," PM Modi shared on X.
This statement follows Netanyahu's greetings to the Indian populace for Diwali, hoping that the festival brings hope, peace, and prosperity to India.
In a post on X, the Israeli Prime Minister's Office stated, "PM Netanyahu: Wishing my friend Narendra Modi and the people of India a very Happy Diwali! May the Festival of Lights bring hope, peace, and prosperity to your great nation. Israel and India stand together as partners in innovation, friendship, defense, and a brighter future."
On Monday, the Israeli Embassy in India also extended Diwali wishes to the Indian people. In a video shared on X, officials from the embassy were seen engaging in Diwali shopping, purchasing flowers and lamps, and creating rangoli designs.
"This Diwali, our diplomats went Diya and Decor shopping! May our homes be filled with love and light, today and every day! Happy Diwali," the Israeli Embassy stated in a post on X.
In response to this post, Israel Embassy spokesperson Guy Nir mentioned that he had a wonderful time celebrating Diwali, which included delicious food, sweets, dancing, and laughter.
