Tel Aviv, March 22 (NationPress) Indian-Israeli influencer Revital Moses shared on Sunday that Israel is currently engulfed in a climate of fear and anxiety, especially among civilians, as attacks can occur unpredictably. She noted that the citizens of Israel strive to maintain their daily routines amidst the sounds of siren alerts.

In an interview with IANS, Moses explained that when missiles are launched towards Israel, individuals rush to shelters. The elderly often find it challenging to evacuate quickly, leading them to sleep in these shelters due to the possibility of nighttime attacks.

“We carry on with our lives even as the sirens wail. Whether it’s grocery shopping, creating videos, working, or children attending school, all activities continue amidst the siren sounds. When missiles fall, people seek refuge indoors, close to shelters, and if they can, they sleep in these safe spaces. Attacks can strike at any hour, including the early morning. The resilience of the Israeli people remains intact; we are simply adapting to live differently,” she remarked.

Reflecting on her time in Israel since 2020, Moses stated, “The current atmosphere in Israel is saturated with fear and anxiety, particularly for civilians. There’s a pervasive sense of dread, with missiles potentially being launched at any moment, leaving people uncertain about what tomorrow holds.”

The unrest in West Asia escalated following the US-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28, which resulted in the deaths of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior military officials. In retaliation, Iran initiated drone and missile strikes aimed at US and Israeli assets, as well as allied forces in the region.

Moses also recounted a heartwarming story about an Israeli couple who chose not to postpone their wedding, even amidst missile attacks. “It was a joyous occasion; despite the barrage of ballistic missiles, this couple, who are dear friends of mine, insisted that their wedding must proceed. They celebrated their ceremony in a bomb shelter, and the event gained viral attention on social media, attracting even strangers to join their celebration,” she shared.

“A rabbi from our Jewish community officiated the ceremony, and friends joined in the festivities, dancing in the safest place possible— the bunker. They embraced the opportunity to affirm that their love would prevail, and they would marry that day,” she added.

Reports indicate that nearly 200 individuals suffered injuries during the Iranian strikes in Israel's Dimona and Arad, with 11 sustaining severe injuries, as noted by medical personnel, after Israeli air defenses failed to intercept several ballistic missiles.

Following the attacks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and IDF Chief of Staff Lt General Eyal Zamir declared Israel's unwavering commitment to confront its adversaries on “all fronts,” according to The Times of Israel. Subsequently, the IDF announced that the Air Force was targeting Iranian infrastructure in strikes over Tehran.
