Moscow, Oct 24 (NationPress) Five individuals, including a child, sustained injuries following a drone strike on a residential structure in Krasnogorsk, part of the Russian capital, as confirmed by local Governor Andrey Vorobyov on Friday.
In a message posted on his Telegram channel, Vorobyov stated, "A residential building in Krasnogorsk experienced damage due to a drone attack. The drone impacted an apartment on the 14th floor. Five individuals were injured, including one child. Four of them were quickly transported to hospitals, where they are receiving essential medical attention."
According to reports from Russia's prominent Tass news agency, a child was taken to the hospital with a minor shin injury and a dislocated knee. The injured individuals were rushed to medical facilities for treatment of traumatic brain injuries, fractures, and shrapnel wounds.
The drone strike resulted in damage to three apartments, which were partially destroyed. Residents recounted that the explosion was “very powerful.”
All emergency services, including the Russian Emergency Ministry and law enforcement officials, are currently at the incident site. District head Dmitry Volkov is also present. Specialists have conducted an inspection of the building that suffered the drone attack, and an operational headquarters has been established.
The regional governor and district head assured support for all victims and their families. Approximately 70 individuals were evacuated from their apartments in the residential building, according to emergency services sources.
On October 22, the operational headquarters in the Belgorod region reported that Ukrainian armed forces had launched an attack involving more than 10 drones and over 12 rounds of ammunition in the past 24 hours, as reported by Tass.
The statement shared via the headquarters’ Telegram channel noted, "The Ukrainian military targeted the Graivoronsky district, firing four rounds of ammunition in two separate shelling incidents and deploying eight drones, one of which was intercepted, at the city of Graivoron and various villages." Tragically, a man lost his life in a drone strike on a passenger vehicle in Novostroyevka-Pervaya, succumbing to his injuries before reaching the hospital.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian armed forces launched 11 rounds of ammunition and three drones at the Shebekinsky district, two drones at the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, and one drone each at the Borisovsky and Volokonovsky districts.
