Luxembourg City, Jan 6 (NationPress) External Affairs Minister (EAM) S Jaishankar met with Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden on Tuesday, delivering warm regards from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and engaging in discussions about enhancing collaboration in financial services, investments, technology, and innovation between the two countries.
In a post on X, he expressed, "It was a pleasure to meet Prime Minister Luc Frieden of Luxembourg this morning. I conveyed PM Narendra Modi's warm greetings and we discussed our expanding cooperation in financial services, investments, technology, and innovation. My gratitude extends to him for his support in strengthening India-EU relations."
During his time in Luxembourg, EAM Jaishankar is scheduled to engage in discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Xavier Bettel, as well as other key leaders. He will also connect with members of the Indian community residing in Luxembourg, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Following his engagements in France, EAM Jaishankar arrived in Luxembourg.
On Monday, he met with International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Fatih Birol, appreciating his insights on the global energy landscape and his support for India's ongoing growth and development.
Additionally, he interacted with participants of the French-Indian Young Talents Program organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-India in Paris, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between the two nations.
In a post, he stated, "I was delighted to engage with participants of the French-Indian Young Talents Program in Paris, where we discussed the ongoing transformations in the world and the essential role of India-France collaboration in this context."
He also visited the exhibition titled 'Ce qui se trame - woven stories between India and France' in Paris, which highlighted India's rich textile heritage and craftsmanship, reinforcing the cultural bond between the two nations.
