Former President Bill Clinton Hospitalized, Reportedly 'Awake and Alert'

Washington, December 24 (NationPress) Former US President Bill Clinton, aged 78, has been admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., after developing a fever, according to a statement released by his deputy chief of staff, Angel Urena.
Urena mentioned to CNN that Clinton is doing well and remains in good spirits, expressing hope to return home by Christmas. Reports indicate that the former president is awake and alert as his medical team conducts tests and monitors his health status.
Clinton was at his residence in Washington when the decision was made for hospitalization. Although he is anticipated to stay at least overnight, his medical team is optimistic about his recovery.
He held the office of US president from January 1993 to January 2001.
The 42nd president, who exited the White House nearly 25 years ago, has encountered numerous health issues throughout the years. In 2004, he underwent quadruple bypass heart surgery, and in 2005, he had surgery for a partially collapsed lung. In 2010, he received coronary stents, and in 2021, he was treated for a severe blood infection, requiring a six-day hospitalization in Los Angeles.
Despite these health challenges, Clinton has maintained an active public life. He delivered a speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago this past summer and spent much of the fall promoting his book, "Citizen: My Life After the White House".
During his remarks at the Democratic National Convention in August, marking his 13th appearance at the event, Clinton stated, "Not a single day goes by, even though I’ve been gone for over 23 years from the White House, that I don’t thank the Lord for the chance I had to serve, and what it meant."
Clinton’s spokesperson has expressed gratitude for the excellent care he is receiving and appreciates the support from the public. Further updates on his condition are expected as doctors continue their evaluations.
