Four Terrorists Neutralized, Three Captured in Iran

Tehran, Dec 2 (NationPress) The Iranian security and intelligence forces have neutralized four and captured three members of a separatist terrorist team in an operation carried out in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, according to a report from the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Monday.

During the operation, personnel from the provincial intelligence department, police forces, and the Quds Base of the Ground Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps successfully neutralized four armed members of the group. This information was conveyed by Mehdi Shamsabadi, the public prosecutor of the provincial capital of Zahedan, who did not disclose the specific date of the operation.

Shamsabadi noted that the ringleader of the terrorist team along with two of his accomplices were apprehended, emphasizing that the terrorist team was incapacitated before they could execute any anti-security actions, as reported by Xinhua news agency.

He further mentioned that various ammunition and weapons were confiscated during the operation, highlighting that the group was formed with the full backing of certain European states' intelligence services aimed at destabilizing security in southeastern Iran.

The province of Sistan and Baluchestan, which shares borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan, has experienced numerous terrorist attacks targeting both civilians and security personnel in recent years.
