On June 13, PM Ishiba expressed profound sorrow regarding the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, which resulted in the loss of over 241 lives.

In his official statement, he conveyed condolences on behalf of the Japanese government and its citizens to the bereaved families and wished for a quick recovery for the injured.

PM Ishiba remarked, "I am deeply saddened by the news of the loss of many precious lives in the aviation disaster in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. On behalf of the Government of Japan and its people, I extend heartfelt condolences to those who perished and their grieving families. I also pray for the swift recovery of the injured," on June 13.

This incident is regarded as one of the gravest aviation tragedies in Indian history, with the aircraft, operating as Flight AI-171 from Ahmedabad to London, Gatwick, crashing into a residential area near BJ Medical College, resulting in the deaths of over 241 individuals aboard.
