"The year 2025 will be acknowledged as the India-ASEAN Year of Tourism. This initiative will foster cultural exchanges and boost tourism between India and Indonesia. Indonesia stands as a vital ally for us in the ASEAN and Indo-Pacific regions. We share a commitment to uphold peace, security, prosperity, and the rule of law within this area. We concur that freedom of navigation must be maintained in line with international laws," the Prime Minister stated.
"The unity and centrality of ASEAN have been emphasized in our 'Act-East' policy," PM Modi added.
Reflecting on the historical bond, PM Modi remarked, "Indonesia served as the chief guest during India's inaugural Republic Day, and as we commemorate 75 years of the Republic, it is a source of immense pride that Indonesia participates in this historical event."
The Prime Minister mentioned the escalating bilateral trade, which surpassed $30 billion last year, and announced enhanced cooperation in areas such as Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, and digital public infrastructure.
He also highlighted joint efforts in maritime security, cyber security, counter-terrorism, and de-radicalization.
Key agreements included maritime safety and security, aimed at improving crime prevention, search and rescue operations, and capacity building. Furthermore, partnerships in energy, critical minerals, science, technology, and space were further solidified.

He also expressed gratitude to India for backing Indonesia's permanent membership in BRICS, stating, "We are convinced that this collaboration will promote global stability and regional cooperation."
Prabowo highlighted that ongoing discussions will fortify cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, health, energy, and technology.
