What Are the Achievements of India's Communication Industry in Moscow?

Moscow, May 21 (NationPress) India's Ambassador to Russia, Vinay Kumar, underscored the remarkable achievements of the country's communication industry in the digital era while speaking at the plenary session of the international conference on 'Strategic Communications' held in Moscow on Wednesday.

"The Ambassador emphasized the vital role and significance of communication in human civilization and how modern technologies have transformed it. He also highlighted India's communication industry in the current digital landscape, including the recently concluded WAVES 2025," the Indian Embassy in Russia shared on X.

The conference was organized by the Association of Consulting Companies in the field of Public Relations (AKOC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

Ambassador Kumar also explored potential avenues for enhanced cooperation between the communication sectors of both nations, including content creators, influencers, and others involved in the strategic communications landscape.

Forum participants engaged in discussions regarding the evolution of communication rules and culture, the value-driven agenda of present-day communicators, and the specifics of managing information flows across political and ideological lines. The discussions also examined the increasing influence of communication on business and society.

Earlier this month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated WAVES 2025, India's inaugural World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit in Mumbai, aimed at establishing India as a leading hub for media, entertainment, and digital innovation. The four-day global summit sought to position India as a premier destination for creativity and connectivity.

While addressing a diverse audience of artists, creators, policymakers, and investors from over 100 countries, PM Modi asserted that WAVES has the potential to redefine global creative collaboration.

"Artists, investors, innovators, and policymakers from over 100 nations have gathered in Mumbai... WAVES is not merely an acronym; it represents a wave of culture, connectivity, and universal engagement," he remarked.

In reference to the late actor Raj Kapoor's immense popularity in Russia, PM Modi highlighted the significant role of Indian cinema in enhancing India's global influence.

Russia has long been a trusted partner for India, with the strengthening of India-Russia relations forming a fundamental aspect of India's foreign policy. Under the Strategic Partnership, multiple institutionalized dialogue mechanisms function at both political and official levels to facilitate ongoing interaction and follow-up on cooperation initiatives.
