How is India Showcasing Its Zero Tolerance for Terrorism?

Mumbai, May 17 (IANS) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, commended the decision by the Centre to dispatch an all-party delegation aimed at delivering a robust message of zero tolerance towards terrorism on behalf of India. He described this initiative as commendable diplomacy, stating, "This effort will effectively communicate India's position and the truth behind the ongoing conflict to the international community. The presence of an all-party delegation will also underline the reality that Pakistan is a state supporting terrorism."

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative to send a delegation of MPs to various nations, reinforcing India's zero tolerance policy regarding terrorism on a global scale.

"This marks a significant milestone in India's foreign policy," he asserted.

Shinde further stated, "The Pahalgam terror attack, which cast a pall over humanity, and India's subsequent unveiling of Pakistan's terrorism to the world, is a more substantial triumph than any direct military victory. Notably, the inclusion of all political factions in these delegations exemplifies the nation's unity against terrorism. The world is grappling with a critical terrorism issue," remarked Deputy CM Shinde.

He expressed confidence that this decisive action would enhance India’s image globally as a responsible, peace-loving nation seeking lasting solutions to terrorism.

Earlier, after being appointed to the all-party delegation, NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule expressed her gratitude to PM Modi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, and the Ministry of External Affairs.

In her statement on X, she said, "I am privileged to join the all-party delegation representing India on a global platform. I sincerely accept this responsibility and am thankful to the constituents of Baramati Lok Sabha for their unwavering support. Our objective is to broadcast India's unified and steadfast message of zero tolerance against terrorism.

Similarly, Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde, following his selection for the all-party delegation, stated, "We will assertively communicate to the global audience that terrorism has no sanctuary in India, and it is Pakistan that continues to harbor terrorism on its territory. In matters of national interest, there are no divisions—only duties. It is an honor to serve my country in this role, and I am committed to upholding India's zero tolerance policy against terrorism with unwavering resolve."
