Kathmandu, June 21 (NationPress) The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, along with the Consulate General of India in Birgunj, hosted a range of vibrant events across 10 cities and municipalities in Nepal to mark the 11th edition of the International Day of Yoga (IDY) on Saturday.
Celebrations took place in the capital city of Kathmandu, as well as in Pokhara, Lamjung, Lumbini, Janakpur, Chitwan, Birgunj, Hetauda, Rautahat, and Bariyarpur.
A major highlight of the IDY festivities was an impressive Yoga demonstration at Rangasala Stadium in Pokhara, attracting over 7000 enthusiastic Yoga practitioners from the surrounding areas.
The event was organized by the Indian Embassy in collaboration with Pokhara Metropolitan City.
Notable attendees included Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, and Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Dhana Raj Acharya.
