Internet Outage Scheduled in Bangladesh on December 2

Dhaka, December 1 (NationPress) Internet services throughout Bangladesh will experience a temporary interruption lasting three hours on the night of December 2 as a result of upkeep on the country's first submarine cable.

The SEA-ME-WE 4 submarine cable system, which is the first of its kind in the nation, is situated in Cox's Bazar district, approximately 400 km southeast of the capital, Dhaka, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.

As per a recent announcement from the Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC, maintenance will occur from 3:00 a.m. local time to 5:59 a.m. on December 2, near the Chennai Landing Station in India and the Tuas Landing Station in Singapore. During this timeframe, Internet services will face a temporary disruption.

Bangladesh's Internet bandwidth is primarily sourced from two submarine cables that traverse the deep sea. The initial cable is located in southeastern Cox's Bazar, while the second is positioned at Kuakata in Patuakhali district, about 204 km south of the capital, Dhaka.
