New Delhi, Nov 4 (NationPress) The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has recently directed security forces to maintain a state of vigilance in order to keep Jammu and Kashmir safe from infiltration. Following the Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has faced significant embarrassment, struggling to send terrorists into Indian territory.

With enhanced security measures in place, infiltration attempts have nearly ceased. In October, two terrorists attempted to breach the border but were effectively neutralized by alert forces in Kupwara. As infiltration becomes increasingly challenging, Pakistan is now resorting to tactics aimed at disrupting peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

Plans are underway to incite communal tensions in the region, with the ISI gearing up for a major propaganda initiative.

The ISI has specialized divisions dedicated to such operations, having successfully executed them previously. The unrest following the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in India is a testament to their capability, as they disseminated fake narratives that fueled violence.

Intelligence agencies are on high alert to monitor and dismantle the misinformation campaigns that the ISI is attempting to spread concerning Jammu and Kashmir. This division is expected to revive discussions about the abrogation of Article 370, launching a misinformation campaign that portrays injustices faced by the youth in the Union Territory, targeting young individuals in particular. These campaigns are not only aimed at fostering discord but also serve as a recruitment tool for local militancy.

With a significant number of infiltration attempts thwarted, the ISI is advocating for the formation of a homegrown terror group comprising local recruits, eliminating the need for infiltration while framing the Jammu and Kashmir issue as a local grievance to the international community.

Post Operation Sindoor, although infiltration rates have not surged, attempts have increased. Intelligence estimates suggest around 80 terrorists are poised to infiltrate, utilizing routes in Uri, Kupwara, Guru, Hiranagar, and Sunderbans.

In addition to terrorists, infiltrations by Pakistani army commandos from the Border Action Team (BAT) have also been reported. Many attempts along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector have been thwarted by Indian forces.

These thwarted attempts, combined with an absence of local recruitment, have left the Pakistani establishment in a dilemma. Faced with mounting pressures from Afghanistan and groups like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Nationalist Army (BLA), Pakistan is seeking to divert attention from its internal issues. By instigating unrest in Jammu and Kashmir, it aims to create a necessary distraction.

Furthermore, Pakistan is keen to exploit the chaos to recruit locals into terrorist factions. After the elimination of groups like Hizbul Mujahideen and The Resistance Front, the absence of local recruitment has greatly frustrated Pakistan. The people of the Union Territory have longed for peace, which they are now beginning to enjoy, with businesses flourishing due to a tourism resurgence, further aggravating Pakistan's frustration.
