Israeli Defense Forces Mobilize Additional Troops Near Syrian Frontier

Jerusalem, Dec 7 (NationPress) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) declared in a statement on Saturday that, following a situational evaluation, it is mobilizing additional troops for defensive operations in the annexed Golan Heights, which is located adjacent to the Israel-Syria border.
The statement noted that, "The reinforcements will enhance the area defense and bolster the forces' preparedness for various scenarios," as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
This announcement comes after a prior statement from the IDF on Friday, which indicated that their aerial and ground units were being strengthened in the Golan Heights, based on an ongoing situational assessment amidst the evolving circumstances of Syria's civil conflict.
The IDF emphasized on Friday that its forces were deployed along the border, closely observing developments, and were ready for all scenarios. They reiterated that they would not tolerate threats near the Israeli border and were dedicated to "neutralising" any threats against Israel.
